Job Description

As a Body Practitioner in the Rainforest Spa at Long Beach Lodge Resort, you will be responsible for providing professional massages, body treatments, and facials that address guests' needs. The ideal candidate will provide a high level of hospitality and exceptionally clean space. Your passion for West Coast hospitality will provide our guests with the relaxation and comfort they expect while working cohesively with staff members to create a satisfying and enjoyable atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Perform 60- and 90-minute massage, body and facial treatments while maintaining the guest’s comfort at all times
  • Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to their needs and expectations
  • Ensuring the highest level of service by exceeding guest expectations to build loyalty
  • Full understanding of the spa booking system Jane app
  • Maintain an ample supply of massage oils, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the massage work area
  • Maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order
  • Follow departmental, health and safety, emergency policies and procedures
  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  •  
Qualifications 
  • Certified Massage training 1000 hours required
  • Previous spa experience preferred
  • Experience in a hotel/hospitality environment is preferred
  • Must have refined, concise and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and willing to work weekends and holidays based on the business needs
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Frequent standing, walking, ascending and descending stairs. Frequent bending and kneeling. Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 20lbs.
