  • Preference would go to, but not limited to, someone who would qualify for Wage Subsidy.

This position is open to everyone, however, if you are eligible for a Wage Subsidy please inform the employer upon contact.  To become eligible you must first contact the Alberni Valley Employment Centre. A Wage Subsidy is available to individuals who are unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week, and:

  • Have worked and earned at least $2,000 in EI insurable earnings in 5 of the last 10 years, OR
  • An individual who meets the requirements of the Single Parent Employment Initiative
