JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the residences. Repairs, basic maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment, with some housekeeping duties. Observes client behaviour and provides basic information to clients regarding activities of daily living. Completes documentation such as communication and client daily logs, as needed. This is a unionized position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & CONDTIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Grade 12
- Certificates in First Aid/CPR
- Recent related experience of six months
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Willing to follow CMHA Code of Ethics, Policies and Mission Statement
- Willing to adhere to “Managing Hostile Interactions” protocol
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
- Class V B.C. Driver’s License and regular access to a safe, working vehicle
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
