Project Facilitator/Trainee
Ucluelet Business & Employment - Retention & Expansion (UBERE) Program
Project Duration - 12 months (from start date)
Reporting directly to the Program Manager of the Ucluelet Chamber of Commerce, this position is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of our Business & Workforce Retention and Expansion project.  The successful candidate will learn on the job while assisting the Program Manager in coordinating the Ucluelet Business & Workforce – Retention and Expansion Program. The on the job training and work experience will build capacity towards facilitating the continuity of the Ucluelet Business & Workforce – Retention & Expansion Program.
 
Training & Work Experience:
·         Engagement techniques with existing businesses and workforce to market the UBERE Program.
·         Research & Assessment methods of existing businesses for retention and expansion purposes
·         Assemble information such as marketing, financing, workforce training, and business planning.
·         Learn how to develop surveys and create implementation plans
·         Learn how to develop project report cards to gather and measure data
·         Learn how to analyze business/services in the community of Ucluelet
·         Learn how to generate reports from survey results to show strengths, weaknesses, uniqueness and opportunities for prosperity
Qualifications 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
·         A combination of knowledge and experience in the field of Business & Economics
·         knowledge of  small business communities preferred
·         A solid computer and working knowledge working in MS Office
·         Some knowledge and/or experience in data collection, analysis and reports
·         Good networking and relationship building skills
·         Understanding and appreciation of First Nation culture and protocols
·         Accuracy and attention to detail
·         Good communication and public presentation skills
·         Ability to work a flexible work schedule (evenings, weekends)
