In collaboration with Five Acre Productions and are currently looking for Summer Student Employees!
 

The Shaker Program Assistant works collaboratively with the Shaker Music Festival planning committee, staff, and volunteers to assist, coordinate, and promote the services, features, and initiatives of the Shaker Music Festival. Responsibilities will mostly involve the day-to-day planning, administration, and production of the Shaker Music Festival. This also includes working alongside the Sustainability Coordinator and Manager in organizing and developing the Sustainability initiatives, and working closely with set/up crew, volunteer coordinators and other partnering groups.

 

 

Qualifications 

Qualifications: This Position is funded through the NETP Special Projects Summer Student Grant, to be eligible for this position you must:

1. Identify as a First Nations, Inuit, or Metis person

2. Be residing in the Alberni Valley during the work placement

First aid and CPR training considered an asset Valid Class 5 Drivers License considered an asset (must have ability to commute to various locations)

Alberni Valley Tourism Training Program training an asset

Education - Second or third year student in a diploma or degree program..

Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.

The ability to work independently is required.

Initiative is required.

The ability to work collaboratively with other individuals and volunteer groups is required.

The ability to use Microsoft Office Suite to prepare Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and reports is required.

The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
