Tutor Doctor is seeking a reliable individual with a passion for education to join our team of phenomenal in-home tutors, as we expand our operations into the Port Alberni area.

This is a part-time, long term position. Unique to Tutor Doctor, we empower our tutors to choose which students to accept and determine their own weekly schedule. Our team work to match a tutor with students based on personality, qualifications, subject/ grade expertise, availability, and location. Our goal is to make the perfect match. We offer an orientation, access to resources, and ongoing support.

We have a specific student with special needs that we are looking to match a tutor with, for one hour per week. He is in grade 3, and needs general support for math, science ands social studies. This student struggles with anxiety and sensory processing, so experience with special needs is essential. Tutoring to begin approximately July 5th.

Qualifications 
  •  Someone who has completed at least one year of post-secondary education, or higher
  • Ability to travel to student's homes for in-home tutoring
  • Knowledge of teaching techniques and learning styles
  • Tutoring experience (Formal or Informal)
  • Coaching or Mentoring is ok too! Excellent communication skills
  • Dependability and professionalism
