Job Description: Core Job Responsibilities & Duties • Preparing/portioning a batch of pizza dough as well as feeding their respective starters daily • The forno is the centerpiece of the restaurant and is an open section: at all times sanitation and cleanliness are paramount • Feeding the wood fire and maintaining proper quantities of wood stock are required • Keeping the meat slicers sharp and well maintained • An ability to stretch and make a pizza in under 1.5 minutes • Responsible for most of your own prep • Communicating orders and low stock levels to the chef • Sending small plates • Talking to guests at the bar while keeping in mind company policies and standards • Adjusting par levels to forecasted reservations is a vital skill • Reporting to the chef and sous chef and following their instructions • Competitive wages • Staff Discounts at our on-site restaurant/pub • Discounted in-house Marine Adventure tours (Whale Watching, Bear Watching, Hot Springs Cove Tours) • Staff Accommodations available the right candidate

Qualifications 

• Must have basic knowledge of cooking and food handling procedures. • Must have an understanding and knowledge of safety and sanitation • Previous cooking experience. • Have the ability to take direction and work in a team environment. • Have the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and in a fast paced environment. • Passionate about working with quality ingredients • Committed to being part of a highly successful team.
