We’re looking to add to our team in our savoury culinary department - we are looking for a ​Sandwich Artist​ ​(artistry certification provided on the job) ​ . Could that be you? Zoe’s Bakery & Cafe provides a baked goods and variety of lunch items, consisting of a daily gourmet sandwich, homemade soup, and a selection of deli salads and spreads. Our style uses locally sourced, seasonal ingredients; emphasizing scratch-made whole foods - organic when possible, seasonal always and focussing on minimal waste. We are a training bakery with opportunities to learn for those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary industry. Duties include​: Constructing towers of delicious ingredients between two slices of house-made focaccia (also known as a sandwich), aiding our Chef with ingredient prep/menu planning, creating other savoury delights to keep our lunch-game strong, keeping up to the bakery chaos and anticipating the needs of the whole place. Let’s face it, without the humble sandwich, lunch would not be as enjoyable & we wouldn’t have a reason for sweet treats afterwards. You’d be a big deal. Efficiency, strong communication and people skills are integral as this is a open kitchen. All positions at Zoe’s Bakery requires direct involvement with customers, assisting front-line staff with coordinating service and providing overall support in our fast-paced, team-oriented, community-focussed environment.
