The Seniors Hub Coordinator plans, implements and coordinates the socio-education activities for the benefit of seniors as well as fosters continued dialogue and encourage intercommunity communications, intercultural and intergenerational participation that supports the development of age-friendly communities on the west coast.  This position requires union membership.

Qualifications 
  1. A diploma in human/social services or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. One to three years previous work in a similar environment with demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering multi-stakeholder programs.
  3. Experience in group facilitation, community engagement and risk management. 
  4. Direct program delivery experience in the community social services sector with a demonstrated working knowledge of community based programs and related provincial and community support systems.
  5. Grant writing experience preferred.
  6. Full & valid BC. Drivers License, own vehicle in good working condition and appropriate insurance.
  7. Level 1 First Aid training.
  8. Food Safe certification.
  9. Strong computer skills including use of MS Office, data management, internet research, social media, and basic graphic design.
  10. Knowledge of west coast communities.
  11. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  12. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  13. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  14. Crisis intervention skills preferred.
  15. Exceptional interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
  16. Successful criminal record check.
