Creative Salmon is Canada’s first certified organic salmon aquaculture company, based in Tofino, British Columbia. We are adding to our Biology / Fish Health team and require a Biology Technician.
This full-time, year-round position (5 days on, 2 days off) will be based from our sea sites near Tofino (staff accommodation is not provided).
The Biology Technician will divide time between the office and the field: maintaining databases of information, analyzing and drawing conclusions from data, preparing reports and clearly communicating technical information with colleagues, supervisors, government officials, and the public. Experience with FishTalk considered an asset.
The Biology Technician will spend significant time in the field at the four sea sites and, occasionally at the hatchery: monitoring fish populations, collecting samples and specimens, ensuring fish health and biosecurity protocols are followed, cleaning and maintaining equipment.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to be licensed and operate small vessels and other equipment is required.
Minimum educational requirement is a college technical diploma in a related field.
