MEC Projects Ltd is an electrical contractor based out in Tofino and we are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our construction and service team. Successful applicants must have commercial and/or industrial experience.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform tasks relating to the construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, Canadian Electrical Code, and project specifications
• Assist in the supervision and coordination of small to large projects
• Enforce WCB and company-mandated Health and Safety Standards
• Coordinate, direct and mentor apprentices, as required

Technical Qualifications:
• Red Seal Journeyman Certification
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and project specifications
• Ability to read and interpret the Canadian Electrical Code
• Working knowledge of electrical principles, conduit, circuitry, power and distribution
• Data and fire alarm knowledge an asset
