Childcare Worker - Full Time

In this contract position you will report to the Centre Supervisor and be engaged in the day-to-day operations of a busy, licensed, open-learning childcare centre in downtown Tofino. Programming includes: weekly field trips, expanded visual arts program, music program, etc. The centre is a prototype pilot of the $10/day daycare program. You will be responsible for: communicating with parents and children, opening and closing the centre on occasion as requested, planning and supervising developmentally appropriate and safe activities for children, handling emergency first aid situations, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Must conform with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act – Child Care Licensing Regulation.
