Island Work Transitions, Inc. (IWT) delivers WorkBC Employment Services to communities in the Alberni-Clayoquot region, as a subcontractor to Central Vancouver Island Job Opportunities Building Society (CVIJOBS).

IWT is looking to hire a candidate with strong sales, marketing, networking, and administrative skills to engage employers in Port Alberni, promote Wage Subsidies, and secure contracts for WorkBC clients. Occasional travel to our other office locations in Ucluelet and Tofino may be required.

Wage Subsidies provide financial support to employers as an incentive to hire eligible job seekers and provide them with work experience and skills enhancement. • Market the Wage Subsidy program through both online and personal communications.

Administration:

  • Administer and monitor Wage Subsidy contracts for participants, providing ongoing support to both employers and clients.
  • Perform ongoing data entry to provincial case management system (ICM) according to contract expectations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to client confidentiality, ethical guidelines and other professional codes of conduct.
  • Create and secure paid employment opportunities for clients, through close collaboration with employers to ensure plans are suitable and realistic.
  • Monitor and document clients’ progress in their work situations, providing needed support for on-the-job problem solving.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information on the labour market and job opportunities, and share regularly with partners.

What We Can Offer:

  • Benefits after 3 months (includes dental and vision care)
  • Paid sick days/vacation days
  • The opportunity to work with a great team!
