Details 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Residential Manager is responsible for the management and operation
of a Licensed Residential Program. The Manager is ultimately responsible for the safety and wellbeing of each
client within the home. S/he is responsible for the client's finances, program plans and outcomes. In addition,
s/he is responsible for the financial and physical maintenance of the residence. S/he will also have the ability
to liaise with all levels of government and will be a strong advocate for each client in the house and ensure
their dignity is paramount in the operation of the home and programs. The Manager will also work effectively
with a variety of professionals (occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, medical staff, etc.) for the
benefit of the clients.

Qualifications 

EDUCATION/TRAmiNG:
• Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Sociology or combination of education and experience
• Courses in management and leadership from a recognized provider
• Training in the area of program planning
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum five years working with people with developmental disabilities
• Two years of prior staff management experience
• One year of experience working with union issues
• One year of experience in assessment, program design, evaluation and planning

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Excellent organizational, time management, general management, and planning skills.
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
OTHER ~ The following requirements must be met prior to employment.
• Criminal Record Check
• Immunizations as per licensing guidelines
• Valid BC. Driver's License, Class 4
• Level 1 First Aid Certificate
