  • ADAPS Prevention Service is looking for a committed, experienced professional to complement their service delivery team. 
  • The role will work on the Intensive Support and Engagement Team (ISE) delivering service to Youth, and where appropriate, their parents and caregivers.
  • The position requires recent experience working with at-risk populations.
  • The required candidate will have experience planning and implementing services for youth who present with multiple risk factors to substance misuse and mental health concern.
  • Experience working with youth in-and-from Care, and experience with MCFD ICM model and care plans is an asset. 

 ISE staff work in the community and out of our Youth Service Office.

This role will provide outreach, support, counselling and life skills to youth and families. The successful candidate is comfortable serving disenfranchised and hard-to-engage youth.

Qualifications 

    

  • Experience should include supporting youth to develop life skills, group facilitation and outreach/navigator support to youth.
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 year diploma in CYCC, Human Service Work or relevant field. 
  • Education minimum must be augmented with at least 3 years service to at-risk and high risk youth and their families/caregivers.
  • A dynamic combination of 5 years education, training and experience will be considered.
  • Some flexibility in work hours is required.
  • ADAPS is a Health Employees Association of BC Employer. Successful candidates will be required to have union membership.
  • A Criminal Records review and valid driver’s license with clean abstract is required.
