Call for Interest: 2021 Digital Events & Marketing Coordinator 

Carving on the Edge Festival Society is seeking to hire a Digital Events & Marketing Coordinator who will deliver and optimize an online festival event scheduled for March 2021. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Board of Directors and festival implementation team.

Contract Time frame: Immediately– April 15, 2021 (possibility of extension based on funding)

Terms: By Contract (as agreed upon with candidate) 

Wage: To be determined based on agreed upon work-plan; and candidate’s experience.

Location: Home office for on-line coordination

Job Expectations:

  • Lead the design and execution of virtual festival delivery, under the curatorial direction of the Board of Directors and Senior Staff.
  • Working in a team environment, launch various digital event materials, collate content and stream digital production source images, videos, artwork and other elements for the festival event.
  • Develop and deliver a communications/marketing plan to promote the Carving on the Edge Festival event in March 2021.
Qualifications 

What skills and experience we are looking for:

Ideal candidates for this role should be creative and innovative, multimedia savvy, well-organized, work well under tight deadlines and must be an excellent communicator.

  • Relevant training includes graphic design, web design, event planning, facilitation or a related field, or a combination of experience and training.
  • Excellent writing and copy editing skills, with the ability to write persuasive, engaging content adapted across a wide variety of media.
  • Aptitude for modern communications including social media and graphic design. Tech-savvy and proficient in word-processing, databases, websites, G Suite, and email.
  • Organized and proven experience managing multiple project priorities and working to deadlines.
  • Flexible Schedule.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Experience in the arts sector and/or working in a cross-cultural context are considered assets.
