Tofino Resort + Marina is looking for a motivated Food and Beverage Supervisor.

1909 Kitchen is a casual fine dining experience featuring simple, fresh, elevated ingredients sourced and foraged from the forests, oceans and beaches of Tofino. A wood-burning pizza oven, with a large selection of seafood and a la carte menu options. The menus are ingredient-driven, with inspirations from Pacific regions like Mexico, Japan and the Pacific Northwest. Outside influences from Italy and France stand out as well.

The Hatch Waterfront Pub features a refined pub menu that appeals to locals and visitors alike. The kitchen uses high-quality ingredients while both re-visiting pub classics and creating new ones.

Job Description:

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assisting with training and development of all team members
  • Constant innovative leadership ensuring guest and employee satisfaction
  • Assisting with administrative leadership tasks, such as Squirrel programming, Optimum Control data entry, inventory management, payroll
  • Ensuring accuracy when checking servers cash outs
  • Provide ongoing feedback to F&B staff to help them improve service and develop their skills
  • Strong and effective communication with all other departments; partnering to ensure property-wide service standards for our guests
Qualifications 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a supervisory position
  • Working knowledge of Squirrel, Optimum Control, Open Table, Microsoft Office an asset
  • Serving It Right License Certification
  • Thorough knowledge of wine, spirits and beer
  • A willingness to lead and be constantly challenged to grow with the restaurant team
  • A professional and positive attitude as well as a calm, polite, and composed demeanour
  • Flexible, must be willing to work a variety of hours, including days, nights as well as weekends and holidays based on the business needs
