Pacific Sands Beach Resort is looking for a friendly & enthusiastic  "Welcome Ambassador" to join our team for the summer season. This is a full time position for July and August only, with a usual shift of 12pm-8pm (5 days per week). The successful candidate may be eligible for extended employment in a different position, based on interest and availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                     

  • Greet and interact with guests/visitors, as the first point of contact upon arrival to the Resort.
  • Responsible for Guest Check-in procedures for curbside check in 
  • Direct traffic on the property (e.g. to appropriate parking areas)
  • Coordinate parking lot patrols with maintenance team, to ensure the safety and security of Resort property and guests
  • Work closely with Housekeeping team to communicate availability and status of arrival rooms
  • Respond to guest inquiries on in-house text message platform (Whistle)
  • Comply with all Resort safety guidelines and be familiar with emergency procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned (e.g. contact tracing for the Surfside Grill)
Qualifications 
  • Confident in ability to work independently (unsupervised), as well as part of a team
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace, while maintaining quality standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Proficient in English both verbally and in written work

Physical Demands:

Must be physically fit and able to engage in movements such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs when required. In addition, he/she will be required to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time.

NOTE: Unfortunately, staff accommodation is not available during the term of this position (July/August); therefore, only candidates who are currently living in the Tofino/Ucluelet area will be eligible.
