Early Childhood Educator JOB POSTING

ʔiiḥmisuk t̓aatn̓aʔis Aboriginal Head Start Program is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator who will work closely with parents & other ECE’s to promote a welcoming, supportive, safe environment for parents/caregivers & their children. The ECE will develop, implement & supervise activities in a culturally supportive environment to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual & social needs of the children within the program while establishing routines for children: providing them with positive guidance and building their self-esteem.

Qualifications 
  • Active/Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate, or Infant/Toddler/Special Needs Diploma
  • 5 years or more recent experience as a certified Early Childhood Educator
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and initiative
  • Knowledge of Indigenous history and culture
