About TUCG The Tofino Ucluelet Culinary Guild (TUCG) is a non-profit society that works to connect our coastal restaurants, families, groceries, and businesses with local farmers, fishers, and food producers. We work to make local food more accessible and affordable while at the same time providing a reliable market for some of our region’s best producers. In the past 10 years we have become one of the province’s most dynamic food hubs, which includes wholesale distribution, an online market, a local food box program, and working with community and health organizations in the region.

Qualifications 

Who We Are Looking For

You will be assisting with our weekly farm direct food distribution including organizing, packing, and delivering produce, meat, and specialty good orders to restaurants, resorts, businesses, and grocery stores. You will also take responsibility for shipping and receiving, organizing and doing local deliveries, and keeping our warehouse organized. This role requires great communication skills and great customer service to liaise with our customers and help with team problem solving. We have a small, fast moving and fun team looking for someone who is willing to learn and work hard but also join us in our passion and humour! Lots of perks if you love good food.

Requirements

• Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes

• Must have driver’s license in good standing and be able to drive our delivery van

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail

• Forklift certificate an asset, but training can be provided

• Past experience in any of these areas would also be an asset: delivery driver, customer service, shipping and receiving
