The Alberni-Clayoquot Continuing Care Society is an independent, non-profit organization operating two long-term care Homes (Fir Park Village & Echo Village) in Port Alberni. We are currently accepting applications for a Program Coordinator position at our facility.

Position Summary:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Programming & Adult Day Services, develops plans, coordinates and implements activity programs for Adult Day Services clients/Home residents.
  • Places clients within the Adult Day Services Program by matching clients’ needs and wants with appropriate activities.
  • Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of recreation/leisure programs designed to support residents’ health and well-being within the Home cooperatively works with other Program Coordinators and other departments in the implementation of special events, seasonal and integrated activities.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications 

1. Education, Training and Experience

  • Completion of a recognized Recreational Program plus three year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Must have valid BC Drivers’ License, Class 4 (unrestricted
