Located just north of Tofino, guests will be able to enjoy the beauty of Vargas Island and have the opportunity to engage in activities including guided hikes and kayak tours, amongst others. The food experience at the Cedar Coast will be central to our guests' experience and quality food will certainly be key in making our guests stay memorable and enjoyable. You have the opportunity to become part of a dynamic, passionate team who enjoy working in a remote and magical environment.

Work Environment:

Our kitchen serves buffet-style meals three times daily for up to 30 guests and 10 staff members. We prioritize local, organic, low-impact foods and strive to cater to various diets and restrictions. Our kitchen operates with two staff during the summer season.

Currently Seeking:

We are currently looking for a Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Chef. Working in close collaboration with the Head Chef, we are looking for a new team member to take over their duties on days off, during which time you will be assisted by another staff member.

  • Assisting head chef with meal preparation;
  • Dishwashing and helping with maintaining high standards of cleanliness;
  • Assisting head chef with stock management and orders;
  • Maintenance / replenishment of guests' bar (coffee, tea, etc.).

Due to the nature of Cedar Coast’s operation, you may be required to help on duties outside the kitchen on an occasional basis.

Perks:

  • Onsite accommodation and meals are included in the compensation package.
  • Opportunity to take part in guided activities and tours on days off.
  • Experience of working in remote settings.
