We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Baker to join our team and help us delight our guests with fresh, artisan pastries and breads every day.
Job Description
As our French Baker, you’ll be the heart of our kitchen, specializing in croissants, sourdough bread, and a variety of classic French pastries. You’ll use traditional techniques to craft beautiful, flavorful baked goods, maintain high standards of quality, and bring creativity to our menu.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake croissants, sourdough, baguettes, brioche, pain au chocolate, and other French pastries from scratch
- Follow authentic French baking methods, including dough fermentation, lamination, and proofing
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all baked goods
- Manage inventory, order ingredients, and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Develop and test new recipes to expand our bakery offerings
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a baker, preferably with French breads and pastries. Red seal an asset but will consider related work experience or personal baking experience
- Strong knowledge of artisan baking techniques
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work early mornings
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Food handler’s certification (preferred)
- Creativity and passion for baking
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
