Provide administrative support including travel claims, activity reports, timesheets, calendars, purchase orders, coding, orientation packages for about 25 staff.
Assist with funding agreements, maintain calendar for reporting due dates, assist with contract administration, receive phone calls and emails, refer to appropriate resource.
Data entry, organization and filing of department information. Maintain scheduling and calendars for Nurse Manager, department supervisors and staff.
Make arrangements for department and team meetings, preparing packages, process invoices associated with meetings.
On request, draft letters, emails, memos and notifications.
Maintaining strict confidentiality on all matters relating to the affairs of NTC and its members.
Qualifications
Grade 12 equivalency required, additional post-secondary courses or certificate in administration is preferred.
2 – 3 years of proven general office skills preferably acquired from working in an office administrative capacity.
Experience in health care or First Nations services will be an asset.
Able to demonstrate the ability to efficiently assess, organize and prioritize the daily completion of office routines.
Ability to work independently and to contribute as a team member.
Must have/acquire working knowledge of the NTC nursing program and services.
Must comply with the Criminal Records Review Act.
Possess good interpersonal skills, able to relate well to nursing staff, care workers, NTC community representatives, etc.
Demonstrates ability to maintain professional standards and confidentiality with respect to nursing office information and client files.
