Project Description: Bike to School Education Pilot Project
Between April 18, 2017 and September 29, 2017, Island Work Transitions Inc. will provide up to 26 weeks of work experience and skill enhancement opportunities in the areas of project research and reporting, development of educational and marketing materials, event planning, and public speaking, to 2 eligible participants in order to enhance their skills and secure ongoing employment.
By the end of the project duration the participants, under the direction of the Project Coordinator, will have created a pilot project to develop in-class cycling opportunities that will promote cycling as a means of transportation, recreation and physical activity for elementary school students.
