We are hiring for full-time employment as a Baker.
Zoe’s Bakery & Cafe provides scratch-made baked goods, specialty desserts and a variety of lunch items, Our style uses locally sourced, seasonal ingredients; emphasizing on whole foods - organic when possible, seasonal always and focussing on minimal waste. We are a training bakery with opportunities to learn for those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary industry. We currently have baking apprentices and are open to taking on another if interest/ability is expressed.
Duties include: Ability to manage baking department with supervision; early mornings are required, need to be proficient in laminated doughs & sourdoughs, operate commercial baking equipment, operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment, carry out supplementary tasks as directed by management to ensure the bakery & small team work efficiently.
Efficiency, strong communication and people skills are integral as this is a open kitchen. All positions at Zoe’s Bakery require direct involvement with customers, assisting front-line staff with coordinating service and providing overall support in our fast-paced, team-oriented, community-focussed environment.
