The Tseshaht First Nation Administration Office is now accepting applications for (2) two Community Engagement / Communications Assistant positions. These positions are summer student positions at 60 hours bi-weekly (30 hours per week).
The students may be required to work on evenings and weekends.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate community events and engage community members via social media, website, in person and written;
• Research, develop and deliver various projects for the community;
• Involves communications, IT and website/social media platform development;
• Filing, meeting preparation, database development, policy/program development and obtaining membership information from various means;
• Work closely with each department to collect data regarding Tseshaht membership and communications with community;
• Assist with other duties as directed by Supervisors and/or Managers.
**Funding for this 8 week position is provided by the Canada Summer Jobs Program and as such, only Aboriginal (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) students, between 15-30 years of age are eligible to apply**
Eligibility / Requirement (s):
• Must be an Aboriginal Student returning to full time studies in Fall 2018.
• Must be between 15-30 years old.
• Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
• Class 5 driver’s license an asset.
• IT or associated communications technology education an asset.
