The Tseshaht First Nation Administration Office is now accepting applications for a position of Education and Employment Assistant. This position is a summer student position at 60 hours bi-weekly (30 hours per week).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Filing, meeting preparation, data collection and database development, policy/program development;
• To develop, promote/recruit, and deliver workshops for Tseshaht community members for career exploration, resume/cover letter building and job search/interview preparation;
• This position may also assist with elders’ activities and office duties.
• Assist with future program research and development;
• Assist with creation of posters and marketing of events;
• Assist with other duties as directed by Supervisors and/or Managers;
**Funding for this 8 week position is provided by the Canada Summer Jobs Program and as such, only Aboriginal (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) students, between 15-30 years of age are eligible to apply**
Eligibility / Requirement (s):
• Must be an Aboriginal Student returning to full time studies in Fall 2018.
• Must be between 15-30 years old.
• Must have Social Insurance Number.
• Must be willing to work some evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Class 5 driver’s license an asset.
• First Aid certification an asset.
• Microsoft Software knowledge an asset.
• Interest/education in related field of study an asset.
