Contract Position: Social Services Working Group Coordinator
Statement of Purpose: Huu-ay-aht First Nations is looking for a contract coordinator to provide technical administrative assistance to two working groups: “Quality Assurance Working Group (QAWG)” and the “Social Services Implementation Task Force (Task Force)”. Background Information
In 2016, the Huu-ay-aht First Nations government appointed a panel of experts to research and identify the issues and concerns regarding child protection matters with its citizens. The Panel put forth a strategy consisting of 30 recommendations to implement with the goal of keeping Huu-ay-aht children with their families, building family strength and resiliency, and ensure that staff are taking a holistic approach to providing support to these families. Through the recommendations (16, 22) we have identified members of the “Quality Assurance Working Group (QAWG)” and the “Social Services Implementation Task Force (Task Force)”. These groups require a coordinator to provide assistance on a variety of tasks including but not limited to: organizing meetings, maintaining records, writing correspondence and reports, and ensuring connections between the two groups are maintained.
