This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized and has great interpersonal communication skills. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the Volunteer Coordinator recruits, organizes orientations, and schedules volunteers to work in the Bread of Life Centre in various positions and shifts. The main focus for the Volunteer Coordinator will be to manage volunteers in sorting and distribution of all incoming food in the most efficient manner so that it is used optimally. Job descriptions and required shifts will be supplied to the Volunteer Coordinator by the Bread of Life. Assistance with maintaining a dedicated volunteer pool and organizing volunteer appreciation in the form of acknowledgements will also be part of the position duties.
