Middle Beach Lodge is currently looking for a cook to assist our kitchen manager / head cook in preparing high quality dinners for our guests. Ours is a beautiful open kitchen overlooking the ocean. Each day we prepare a meal that is served buffet style to our guests. Depending on our occupancy, it may vary from a three course dinner to a simple soup or pasta buffet. The meals we offer are simple yet of very high quality, made from scratch and using local ingredients. The assistant cook is expected to learn to prepare meals on her / his own, following recipes and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be someone with previous cooking experience, who is very organized, clean and looking to grow in a very pleasant kitchen environment. Depending on experience or willingness to learn, responsibilities may also include inventory, assisting the head cook with ordering or even helping with menu creation / recipes. Since the kitchen is open, we are also looking for someone with good customer service skills. Candidate must be willing to sign a contract of minimum one year. Priority will be given to candidates willing to commit for longer.

Requirements: BC Food Safe certificate.
Experience 2+ years cooking experience preferred
