The Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government has a new career opportunity for an Indigenous Wellness Counsellor. The Indigenous Wellness Counsellor will provide a range of mental health and addiction services to individuals, couples and families, including children, youth and adults. This position works within the context of a client-centered, family centered and community-based perspective.
The Indigenous Wellness Counsellor will provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and group work and crisis intervention for individuals, couples and families. The successful candidate will work collaboratively by consulting with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other programs as well as prepare educational materials, tools and facilitate educational sessions.
