Job purpose
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for friendly and efficient check-in/out to our guests. The Front Desk Agent provides guests with a high degree of knowledge at the Best Western Tinwis, Tofino and other local attraction and activities. Duties and responsibilities
• Assist guest with arrivals & departures
• Handle guests’ concerns
• Offer referral for services and handle requests
• Assist with group check-ins and check-outs
• Assist other departments as required
Working conditions
• Shift work must be able to work evening, weekends and holidays
• Fast paced work environment
• High level of guest interaction
Knowledge and Certification
• Previous experience in customer service is an asset
• Ability to use a variety of computer applications
• Working knowledge of the facility, services and local area
• Knowledge of Visual Matrix PMS is an asset, but not required
• Skills and Abilities:
• Passion for exceptional customer service is essential
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Positive, outgoing attitude
• Proven ability to work with a team
• Excellent communication skills • Good organizational skills
• Cash handling experience is an asset
• Administrative skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to speak a second language is an asset
Physical requirements
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours
