We need school bus drivers in Tofino, Ucluelet & West Coast Communities to safely transport some extremely precious cargo. Under limited direction of the Operations Manager, you will operate a school bus to transport students in accordance with NSC Safety and School District Policy.

The working area is Tofino/Ucluelet. This is a split shift with morning and afternoon runs with a guarantee of hours for each day. Day shift Monday through Friday.

Duties

• Transports students to and from school in accordance with routes and schedules
• Directs, monitors and disciplines students and ensures compliance with safe loading, riding and unloading procedures
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with B.C. Motor Vehicle Act, National Safety Code and CVSE guidelines
• Regularly fuels vehicle
• Reports defects to vehicle maintenance personnel, assists in assessing maintenance problems and performs
• Ensures the safe loading, riding and unloading of students
• Consults with the Transportation Manager regarding bus routes, passengers, discipline problems and traffic violation reports
• Ensures interior and exterior cleanliness of school bus
• Provides emergency first aid
• Secures bus and activates Physical security system and access gates
