At Tofino Resort + Marina, the same kitchen prepares food for both 1909 Kitchen and The Hatch Waterfront Pub. 1909 Kitchen is a casual fine dining experience featuring simple, fresh, elevated ingredients sourced and foraged from the forests, oceans and beaches of Tofino. A wood-burning pizza oven, with a large selection of seafood and a la carte menu options. The menus are ingredient-driven, with inspirations from m Pacific regions like Mexico, Japan and the Pacific Northwest. Outside influences from Italy and France stand out as well. The Hatch Waterfront Pub features a refined pub menu that appeals to locals and visitors alike. The kitchen uses high-quality ingredients while both re-visiting pub classics and creating new ones.
This position is a combination of training; working with executive Chef Paul Moran and Sous Chefs, Ryan Mitchell and Tyrone Tutt. Our chefs bring a diverse background of experience and inspired creative recipes. Members of our team have opened and ran restaurants featuring Michelin stars and included in the world’s 50 best restaurants list.
The members of our team have a strong desire to be part of a successful work family and are passionate about working with only the best ingredients. We are looking for motivated individuals to join the kitchen staff for the summer 2019 season and year-round. Compensation for this position starts at $15/hr.
Tofino Resort + Marina offers limited staff housing in a dormitory shared-room setting.
