Providing outstanding friendly one-on-one customer service to visitors and stakeholders
Assisting visitors in customizing their experiences and connecting them to stakeholders to fulfil their holiday needs.

Promote the ideals of the community and area to offer a fully immersive experience to visitors
Communicate to all visitors, stakeholders and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner in-person, via email and through social media
Maintain website details for organization and stakeholders is up to date.
Maintain a positive working relationship with our partners
Assist stakeholders with updating information, and utilizing enhanced sections of the website to showcase their business
Integrative member of the team supporting the Manager and Executive Director
Remain up to date on stakeholder offerings, current events, festivals attractions and activities
Record and maintain accurate visitor services data
Working on special projects or other duties as assigned by the Visitor Service Manager or Executive Director
Keep business information and merchandise well stocked
Handle sales transactions for retail; also conducting opening and closing cash procedures
Participate in familiarization tours, meetings and training opportunities
Maintain a tidy appearance and adhere to dress code
Content creation support for Tourism Ucluelet marketing strategy as needed
Qualifications
Preferred - Experience in hospitality/ tourism/ customer service/sales
Previous experience in sales, inventory and cash handling
Understanding of social media platforms and on-line search
Clear communication skills, written, verbal and phone
Knowledge of Apple and Microsoft Operating systems, Square payment system as asset
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Can work independently and in a team environment
Highly organized
Knowledge of local area
Visitor Information Counsellor certificate or Tourism Professional Certification (National) and/or WorldHost® Fundamentals – an asset but not required
