Ucluelet Petro Canada is seeking a year round Automotive counter person/Service Advisor. Customer Service experience in a busy environment is essential. Hours may range between part-time & full-time Monday - Friday as needed, based on seasonal requirements. Wage is based on experience. Top wages available for a qualified & experienced person. Position to commence immediately.

This person will be responsible for customer service, parts sales and service advice at an auto parts/repair facility. In this position, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Assist all customers in a friendly, professional and efficient manner;
  • Answer phone calls: book appointments, assigning jobs to appropriate days based on length of job, availability of parts;
  • Order parts for upcoming appointments and walk-in customers. Locate parts from outside sources and order if necessary;
  • Log inventory when ordered parts have been received, tag with customer info;
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts;
  • Prepare price quotes over the phone and offer status updates on shipments of parts. Duties may also involve offering basic advice about parts selection;
  • Take inventory of stock on shelves and order to maintain minimum levels;
  • Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special-order parts;
  • Manage and update invoices, ensuring billing is accurate;
  • Maintain professional appearance. Have the ability to deal with problems in a timely, efficient & communicative manner as they arise. Handle customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers;
  • Work closely with the mechanical department, delegating and directing tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects;
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company's products and services;
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and sales representatives;
  • Other tasks as assigned.
