Island Work Transitions (IWT) requires a Program Coordinator to manage our new Pathways Forward Employment Program (PFEP).

The goal of this program is to support persons with disabilities to assist them through economic recovery and increase their resiliency in the labour market while working towards sustainable employment. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overview, organization and delivery of the PFEP. They will be expected to facilitate skill-building sessions with participants, as well as coordinate and assist participants with learning sessions from outside community resources, programs, and employers.

This is a full-time, temporary (36 weeks) position, with an anticipated start date at the end of April, 2021.

Qualifications

Administration skills
Facilitation experience
Report writing experience
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, database systems and email software
Experience with budgeting
The ability to collaborate with other community resources and employers
Familiar with Indigenous culture and communities, and with employment barriers specific to Indigenous Peoples
Knowledge of employment barriers faced by people with disabilities
Formal experience and/or education in related areas (ex. Human Services, Social Services, First Nations Studies, Human Resources)
Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination required
