Kootenay Adaptive Sport Association, in partnership with Access BC, is providing up to 14 BCEA Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in BC communities with work experience and skills enhancement in Universal Design and Physical Literacy education, which will increase their opportunities for sustainable employment.
Previous experience is NOT REQUIRED; this is a work experience opportunity for those with a keen interest in this field of work.
Applicants must be on BC Employment Assistance with a PWD designation.
Planning and Research Assistant duties will include developing a detailed data base of stakeholders, recreation sites, trails, and amenities with specifics related to accessibility, COVID safety and physical literacy, and assisting in the facilitation of the planning process to determine master plan recommendations for municipalities, landowners, stewards and stakeholders.

Eligible Participants will receive $573 weekly living supports through their local WorkBC Centre.
