Seeking Education Assistant with DL experience. Must be aware of and use appropriate behavioural management techniques and trauma informed practice. Ability to work with children with challenging behaviours. The individual will be familiar with creating executive function systems and is looking to make positive connections with the student and family to support the Child's educational needs.
The individual must be physically able to perform duties, have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Post-secondary education in a related area of study; Special Education, Child & Youth Care, ECE, Psychology or an equivalent combination of experience and education. The goal is to connect, have fun and help the student learn and express themselves in ways that are positive and meaningful.
Own a vehicle, valid driver's license, driver's abstract and appropriate insurance are required. In addition, Cell phone with voicemail, current Child Safe First-Aid and clear Criminal Record Search are required.
