Maintain WCMS website, email, enews, files, and
Regularly post and engage on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram)
Ensure consistency of information internally and externally, including web and printed materials (website, advertisements, printed material, emails, newsletters, social media)
Take minutes and actively participate in board meetings first Monday of each month
Support board in AGM planning and executing
Support board with Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser
Managing and maintaining good communication and relationships with communities, government, other organizations etc.
Develop relationships within the local community to strengthen and expand involvement in community events
Establish & maintain annual promotion and society event calendar
Organize and participate in community outreach events (co-op tables, markets, ball hockey games, ukee days etc.)
Create and ensure that the communications budget is adhered to, and all costs are controlled
Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Stay current on related information/trends/opportunities
Generally promoting and representing the WCMS in a professional manner
Produce and present monthly status reports at board meeting Communicate with the board through the Chair
Support the fundraising efforts related to the WCM and current/future programs, under the direction of the campaign co-chairs, and working with external campaign counsel
50-70 hours a month, around 750 hours per year
Qualifications
Must live on the west coast and have a supporting interest in the multiplex project
A secondary school diploma is preferred
Past experience in marketing (social media, website and graphic development)
Experience in people-oriented fields
Professional appearance and attitude
Excellent communication skills, organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
Aptitude for grantsmanship, philanthropy, and sponsorship
Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment
Access and experience in graphic design and print media
Computer skills are required, Word, Excel, Outlook
Own vehicle and driver’s license
Working conditions:
Flexible, must be willing to work a variety of hours, including days, nights as well as weekends and holidays based on Society needs.

Physical ability to lift and carry tent, tables and chairs during event set up or tear down
