Overview

The Break Café & Bistro is located in beautiful Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We serve up coffee, tasty homemade breakfast and lunch to go, as well as delicious pastries and frozen pre-made grocery items. We are currently hiring a part-time Cook with a killer attitude to join our team of passionate humans! The successful candidate should be very organized, have previous experience working in a kitchen, and the ability to keep up in a fast-paced service environment.

Candidate must have accommodation.

Job Description

Record logs upon starting your shift
Ensure station is prepped and ready for service
Prepare a high volume of breakfast and lunch items to order
Help in concluding a monthly inventory count • Keep work area clean throughout the day according to food hygiene standards
Ensure closing duties on your station are complete and stocked for the following day
Put away food orders
Contribute to doing dishes as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

Food Safe Level 1 is considered an asset
Demonstrates team player attributes
Able to work under pressure

Education

Secondary school diploma is required
Post-secondary school diploma is considered an asset
Experience working in a fast-paced service environment
