Bowerman Construction is happy to offer an opportunity for a Civil Construction Labourer for ongoing projects in Port Alberni, BC. We are seeking positive, experienced and energetic people to join our diverse and dynamic team. Responsibilities:

Follow all safety protocols and contribute to the success of the safety program
Perform tasks as required on construction site
Operate and maintain small tools
Shoveling and site clean up
Learn pipe laying techniques (for advancement)
Perform other duties as required, requested or assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

Ability to take and follow instruction
Professional demeanor when dealing with the public
Able to work outside in all-weather at all times of the year
Ability to work as a team as well as independently when required
Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds or more
Able to do extensive physical labour
Valid provincial driver’s license

Assets:

Recent working experience in similar role
Two years’ experience in civil construction
First aid training

This position is compensated at an hourly rate. Employees are eligible for enrollment in our company benefits package following successful completion of a three month probationary period. Compensation will be determined by the successful applicant’s level of training and experience. Submissions will be reviewed and only short listed applicants will be contacted for interviews.
