Reporting to the General Manager the Human Resource Coordinator will take charge of shaping our employee experience, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving strategic HR initiatives.

Qualifications 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and strategies that align with our goals and values.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job posting to on-boarding and off-boarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Handle employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts and maintaining a harmonious work environment.
  • Manage compensation and benefits plans, keeping up to date with industry trends to remain competitive.
  • Oversee compliance with labor laws and regulations, minimizing legal risks and ensuring ethical practices.
  • Collaborate with management team ensuring labour is being managed appropriately.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR related matters and people management.
  • Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect.
  • Take the lead on managing our employee software system ‘RISE People’.
  • Manage staff accommodation which includes conducting weekly inspections, and ensuring we are providing a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our valued employees.
  • Plan and execute monthly staff lunches and events that foster team spirit.
  • Lead and facilitate the Joint Health and Safety Committee by coordinating monthly meetings, setting agendas, conducting workplace inspections/risk assessments and ensuring effective communication for the well-being of our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll is a major plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws, regulations and HR practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and analyze data for decision making.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the resort. Approx 20 hours a week.
  • Must be able to work under pressure if/when necessary.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
