Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Prep Cook who also has experience as a Line Cook in both hot and cold kitchens. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working under pressure, preparing high-quality meals, and running the kitchen independently or alongside our Head Chef. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and specifications
- Assist in hot and cold food preparation
- Cook on the line during service, ensuring food is cooked to perfection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Work closely with the Head Chef to execute daily kitchen operations
- Step into the role of running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain high food quality standards
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation during busy service hours
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Prep Cook and Line Cook
- Ability to work in both hot and cold stations
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to run the kitchen independently or with the Head Chef
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and food handling practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
