Overview
The Break Café & Bistro is located in beautiful Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We serve up tasty warm beverages, homemade breakfast and lunch to go, as well as delicious pastries and frozen pre-made grocery items. We are currently hiring a full-time baker experienced in all things sweet and savory to join our team of passionate humans! The successful candidate will be a strong leader and will be given a level of creative control over the bakery program. This position is seasonal and can be as little as part-time or full-time, but no more than 4 days/week. It comes with an early morning schedule leaving plenty of time for evening surfs and adventures.
Job Description
- Prep and bake-off of bakery goods in a high volume and fast paced environment
- Has a certain level of creative control over the bakery program
- Keep on top of inventory and production levels
- Make product improvements as needed
- Ensure all health authority logs are up-to-date and recorded daily
- Maintain clean and hygienic workstation
