Job Description Support Worker
- Providing one on one support to children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and out in the community.
- Assisting individuals with all aspects of daily living, medication administration, personal hygiene, life skills and social skills development.
- Participate in recreational opportunities and community outings
Skills & Qualifications
- TMS provides a wide range of in house training/support so although experience and education is an asset, it is not necessarily a requirement! Community support worker certificate an asset, but not a requirement TMS is willing to provide on the job training to the right candidates.
- Experience working with children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities
- Strong work ethic, employees who show up ready and willing to do their jobs to the standards that have been outlined by our agency.
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions and adhere policies and procedures as they are outlined.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Rate of Pay
Employees rate of pay is dependent of a variety of factors, this includes but is not limited to experience, education and what position an employee has. Currently TMS rate of pays is as follows: Awake front line $23.50- $28.00 Asleep night attendant $21-$24
Requirements
All employees must have valid CPR/First Aid upon hiring. All employees must have a valid drivers license and provide a drivers abstract with a clean driving record Criminal record check/security clearance through the Solicitor General of BC/HUB clearance.
