Wage 18-20 starting wage dependant on experience plus equal share tip pool (6 to 9/hr, fluctuates seasonally). Wage negotiable for the right candidate. 30 to 40 hrs per week depending on availability. Opportunities for growth and advancement. Hours of service are 8 am to 2 pm (Have your summer afternoons off!)
Responsibilities:
- Following recipes, policies, procedures, and standard portion sizes
-Preparing ingredients and components of each recipe on the menu Maintaining freshness of product.
-Working with a team of Cooks to handle varying levels of activity Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times. Being aware of and following all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines.
-Professional and responsible conduct
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
-Teamwork skills, good verbal communication skills, organizational skills
*We are an Open kitchen requiring friendly engagement with customers and Front of house. Small kitchen requires a great deal of communication, working in close proximity to other kitchen staff, a high level of personal hygiene is important.
*The ideal candidate takes pride in the way food is prepared and presented to the patrons. They are able to take direction and feedback and catch on to new tasks quickly.
*A person who has a passion for creativity and food could thrive in this position with opportunities to create daily specials, soups, and new menu items.
