Roy Henry Vickers Gallery is an artist-owned gallery and cultural landmark in Tofino, celebrating over 38 years of art and storytelling. The space itself is modelled after a traditional Northwest Coast longhouse and features Roy’s striking prints, carvings, and cedar-planked walls. We attract visitors from around the world to connect with art, Indigenous culture, and the stories that define this coastal region.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Assistant Gallery Director who will support the day-to-day operations of the gallery and play a key role in customer sales and inventory management. The successful candidate will have a passion for the arts, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to take initiative in a team environment. This role combines gallery sales representative and administration.

Employment Details:

This is a full-time, year-round position.

Workdays are Thursday to Monday.  Weekdays could be negotiable with other staff, but weekends are fixed.

Average weekly hours are 35.  Gallery hours are 10am – 5pm daily.

Salary starts at $40 000 for trial/training period, which will increase after review.

Annual Paid Holiday three weeks (15 days) increased to four weeks (20 days) after 2 years.
