The Port Alberni Maritime Heritage Society (PAMHS) Board is seeking individuals who are passionate about maritime history and the Alberni Valley to be an Exhibit Guide/Program Assistant at the Maritime Discovery Centre which consists of two small maritime museums (the Gallery and the Lighthouse) situated on the pier at Harbour Quay Marina, 2900 Harbour Road, Port Alberni.

Qualifications

Passion for maritime history
Knowledge of the Alberni Valley and West Coast
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Self-motivated
Resourceful
Detail-oriented
Energetic
Ability to interact with all age levels and cultural backgrounds
Ability to envision and implement children's programs independently and with team members
Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge regarding web browsers and social media
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects up to 20kg
